Departing from Zakynthos in the Ionian Islands of Greece, this cruising area features protected island passages and accessible anchorages. Built in 2023 by Jeanneau, the Sun Odyssey 490 Knot is a sailing yacht measuring 14.42 m (47 ft) in length with a draft of 2.24 m (7 ft). She is configured for both bareboat and skippered charters.
The interior layout offers 4 cabins and 4 heads, providing sleeping quarters for up to 10 people on board. For electrical efficiency, Knot is equipped with solar panels that support battery health while anchored, helping to extend time between port calls. Living amenities include a fully functioning galley with an oven, outdoor speakers for sound in the cockpit, and snorkeling equipment for activities offshore.
Under sail, the vessel uses a half batten mainsail and 2 steering wheels, complemented by a bow thruster that assists with harbor maneuvers. Propulsion is supplied by an 80 HP engine with a saildrive system, supported by a 240 L fuel tank and a 640 L water tank. Navigational and deck equipment includes an autopilot, VHF radio, nautical charts, a nautical guide, and an outboard. The vessel is operated and managed by the charter company Athenian Yachts.
