Built in 2015 by Bavaria Yachtbau, the Bavaria Cruiser 51 Philoctetes is a sailboat based in Alimos marina, located in Athens, Greece. Available for bareboat and skippered charters, she measures 15.59 m (51 ft) in length overall with a draft of 1.85 m (6 ft). Her length delivers extra living space on board compared with smaller monohulls, accommodating up to 10 people across 5 cabins and 3 heads.
Rigged with a full batten mainsail and two steering wheels, the vessel is powered by a 75 HP engine with a 280-liter fuel tank and a 710-liter water tank. A bow thruster assists with close maneuvering in port. Navigation equipment includes an autopilot, VHF radio, and nautical charts. Solar panels and an inverter support battery health and extend time between port calls. On board Philoctetes, equipment includes a bathing platform, outdoor speakers, an oven, electric toilets, and electric fans in cabins. The air conditioning operates only when connected to 220V shore power in a marina or port.
With her five-cabin configuration and generous tank capacities, the vessel is well suited for extended sailing itineraries around the Saronic Gulf. She is operated and managed by the charter company Valentino Yachts.
