The exterior of the Lagoon 52 is magnificent. The Lagoon 52 changed Lagoon’s typical design with its mast set further aft, designed for sailing with a small crew while also minimizing pitching. The Lagoon 52 new design includes a shorter boom, a self-tacking jib and an electric winch on the mainsail which makes for very easy handling.
VPLP had a big influence on the 52 model. They’re known for their offshore racing catamarans and the Lagoon 52 is definitely reminiscent of that. It features a powerful, square-top mainsail (fully battened,) and a large forward triangle which means larger downwind sails choice, which only adds to the enhanced performance. VPLP also increased helmsman visibility.
The Lagoon 52 was built more sporty and angular than its predecessors with diamond-shaped vertical bows to help slice through the water. It also has “mini-keels” in both hulls instead of daggerboards. This gives the Lagoon 52 good stability, lateral resistance, and a nice opened up living space below.
The Lagoon 52 Catamaran also comes in a Sport Top (52S) and a Flybridge (52F) version. The addition of the flybridge brings extra living space and makes for a real luxury sailing experience. The Flybridge offers electronics displays and a wheel that can be flipped to starboard, port, and centre so you always have the best vantage point.
With a well-thought-out technical design, combined with a spacious and wide deck with lots of sunshade and lounging areas, the Lagoon 52 makes a great luxury private yacht.
Just like the exterior design, the Lagoon 52 has an excellent interior design as well. Plush, bright, and modern, the Lagoon 52 catamaran doesn’t leave much to be desired. The Lagoon 52 catamaran allows for wonderful warm natural lighting with an abundance of fixed hull windows, deck hatches and portholes.
You can find 3, 4, 5, or 6 cabin layouts all with en suite bathrooms and showers. Lagoon yachts are first-class in comfort and style. On each catamaran charter, you’ll find a roomy and comfy owner’s suite, built for privacy and relaxation. All the other cabins are also well laid out and quite spacious as well.
In the living space, there are beautiful hardwood floors, a top-of-the-line gourmet galley, and a large dining area. The Lagoon 52 layout is also open concept, with large sliding doors that open to create a single area from the cockpit and saloon. This luxury sailing catamaran is ideal for large groups and entertaining.
When you choose a luxury sailing catamaran, you are getting a lavish once-in-a-lifetime experience, and that comes with a lot of perks.
The Lagoon 52 catamaran comes with a fully equipped chef’s kitchen, featuring a fridge, freezer with an ice maker, 5 burner stove and oven. The kitchen even includes a dishwasher!
